Acting as the founding director & lead tutor of this organisation, which is accredited and supported by the British Council Global Changemakers. FVI provide young people living in vulnerable conditions the chance to express themselves creatively using communication media. Last year we have finished working in informal settlements in Peru & Colombia giving young people living in these community the skills and technology to be able to share their stories with the world. We have just rolled out the second phase of project in underprivileged communities in India, Bangladesh and Nepal, working with young people living in violent and vulnerable conditions. www.futurevoicesinternational.org

Digital Village Project Worker:
This opportunity allowed me to learn extensive new media and digital communication skills in partnership with leading midlands media organisation Mesh Media. I was using new and digital media to help increase social cohesion within the housing sector here in the UK. This role involves teaching residents from a variety of technical abilities, ages and backgrounds. Content creation and community outreach played a key part of this role.

I spent Oct to Dec 2009 working and living in a developing town in Peru. I taught English & Design classes to children. I also ran computer lessons for women. During the time spent in Peru I created two short films and a book on global issues for the Department of International Development.

Working in partnership with LG Chem Europe, in an exclusive partnership with the BIAD. My design work became a national runner up within LG’s annual Hi-Macs design awards in 2008.
